 l Marlin and Sailfish Fishing Tournament.\n\nClub de Pesca de Puerto Valla
 rta\, A.C.\nWe are the Club de Pesca de Puerto Vallarta\, we have the lead
  with 2021 international fishing tournaments and aiming for more! We are t
 radition\, we are Vallarta!\n\nIn 1956 a group of friends from Vallarta ga
 ther with Engineer Juan De Dios De La Torre\, who motivated by the experie
 nce of having obtained a first place fishing in New Zealand\, convinces th
 em to organize a competition to attract fishermen from other parts of the 
 Republic\, and will confirm the abundance of fishing in the bay. These fri
 ends\, who were the founders\, all entrepreneurs and visionary people\, pi
 oneers of several businesses\, (three of them were town mayors)\, believed
  that sport fishing could be the trigger for us to be visited by tourists.
 \n\nSince the first tournament we had participants from the United States\
 , since 1957 it was appointed ambitiously as "International Sailfish Tourn
 ament."Thanks to our strongest sponsor (Mexicana)\, Puerto Vallarta was pr
 omoted as a destination for fishing tourism\, this tournament was the firs
 t effort to promote the city and remains as our main goal\, this Club wish
 es to put Puerto Vallarta on the international map of fisheries\, along wi
 th other destinations such as Hawaii or Los Cabos\, to which we have nothi
 ng to envy.\n\nSport Fishing leaves a significant outlay of wealth\, well 
 above other attractions of Puerto Vallarta\, this fishing tourism repeats 
 their visits according to the seasons of fish abundance of different speci
 es\, as fishing can be practiced all the time.
